The Student Health and Wellness Center operates a full-service clinical laboratory which provides hematological, chemical, and bacteriological testing. The lab also accepts orders from outside physicians.
The Lab at the Student Health and Wellness Center is a CLIA (Government Inspected) approved organization. Complying with CLIA ensures that the testing performed by the SHWC lab provides the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results for complete quality.
Any student who is being seen by their own physician has the option of using the SHWC lab for the tests necessary to monitor drug levels, pre-op lab work, etc. The lab will fax or mail results to the student's physician. This allows the student to benefit from the low cost, high quality service available at the Student Health and Wellness Center lab.
