FAQ

Why am I blocked from registering for classes?

Payment on your account is your responsibility. Any student with an open balance at the end of a semester will have a financial block placed on their account with the University. To get the block released, payment should be made at the Student Accounting and University Cashiering Services in the Eagle Student Services Center (ESSC).

Do I get excused from class for being sick?

No. You can request a statement at your time of checkout from the Health and Wellness Center to show your professor that you were seen at the Center. Statements handed out for this purpose do not contain any Protected Health Information.

Will my insurance pay for my visit?

An itemized receipt will be provided for filing to your insurance carrier for reimbursement. Additionally, if you have the University endorsed student insurance policy, the Student Health and Wellness Center is considered an in-network provider and most charges are covered. For more information, you can call the Student Health and Wellness Center Insurance Department (940) 565-2792.

Where do I park?

The Health and Wellness Center has parking spaces for patients in Lot 5, east of Chestnut Hall. A parking permit is required. If you have an appointment, the front desk will be glad to issue you a parking permit while you are at the Center.

How and where do I pay?

You may pay by cash, check or credit card. All payments are coordinated at the front desk. We also accept insurance assignments (see insurance question)
