The SAVE-A-LIFE Tour made it's 4th stop at UNT on February 12, 2008. This event sponsored by the UNT Student Health and Wellness Center, the Meadows Center for Health Resources, and the University Union, is a national alcohol awareness program that duplicates the effects of impaired driving. Each simulator session ended with an accident scene and a virtual citation. Representatives from the Meadows Center, the ONE Peer Education Network, UNT Police, and UNT Athletics provided several activities, including Guitar Hero, field sobriety testing, a remote control car and tennis ball activity using the Fatal Vision Beer Goggles, to simulate alcohol induced impairment.
